In 1 Samuel 2:4 it says 'those who stumbled are armed with strength.'

How can you stumble and be strong?

Easy! All humans stumble at something in life.

It doesn't mean we are deterred completely, but it may block us for some time. Even in this, we are still strong as our stumbles do not weaken us.

But if you look at this in regards to inner strength - that only comes from the Lord. In Psalm 18:39 it says 'You armed me with strength for battle.' I am strong in might, in mindset or ability. But the armour that I wear is strength from the Lord. Put on the whole armour of God, so you will be ready for battle.

What battle am I going to face? Hopefully not one like those in war torn countries around the world at this time. But I still face "battles" in my own life where I need strength outside of myself to overcome them. Or strength just to stay positive in mindset while I am going through difficult life situations. Disease, death, relationship conflicts, financial difficulty - all can be battles we have to face.

And daily, this is when I lean on my God.

Psalm 18:32 'It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.'

Psalm 84:7 'They go from strength to strength till each appears before God.'

So when you are stumbling draw strength from He who is in control and has all that we need.
