Romans 8:28 says "All things work for good for those who love God and are called according to his plan."

Firstly, we are all called but not all of us respond!

When we realize the Love of God and respond to that love with our love, all that has gone before in our lives is worked by God's grace. Nothing is lost. His grace reworks us and reinstates us cleansed, whole and ready for God's purposes.

I need to come daily to God for Him to rework His Grace in me. My mistakes and "wrongs" in this Christian Life are forgiven and can become a part of God instructing and shaping me into the person I was intended to be from the beginning.

My humanness is loved by the divine - this concept 'wows' me. I learn to have compassion towards others because he first had compassion for me. And may the good things that I do be weaved into the very substance of me and give me wisdom, understanding, and gratitude to my God for all that he has done and is going to do.

As Dietrich Bonheoffer once said in prison:

"You have granted me many blessings" (don't let me become complacent),
"now let me also accept what is hard" (may difficulties not make me hard).

For all these things, blessings and difficulties will be worked by God for good.
