When I was growing up I was often shy and anxious when making decisions and choices but I was always encouraged by my parents to go for it. Now that I am older, I'm not as fearful in making choices and in reaching out for what God has for me. Sometimes however, the old doubts still come to mind. ‘Maybe I will seek but will not find.’ Within each of us our fears sometimes rise up and make us anxious. Our fears can make us worry unnecessarily, and can hinder us from stepping out of our comfort zone and living life to the full. As Christians we need to trust God's words, Seek and you shall find. Knock and the door will be opened. We need to trust that God has our best interest at heart. Because we are so special to Him, He will do the best for us. God is always caring for us just like a parent encouraging us to step out and risk. In taking its first steps, a baby is stepping out and taking a risk. They might fall or hurt themselves but their loving parent is looking over them, caring for them and making sure they don't injure themselves badly. The more the baby takes a risk and has a go, the more they will trust their parent. The more the baby steps out, the sooner they will be running, climbing, and leaping. Maturity and wisdom teach us that when we first trust in God and He is faithful, we learn to trust in Him more. GOD IS TRUSTWORTHY so give it a go, just once, and see what God will do for you. Place an area of your life that you have been anxious about into his hands and see what he does - in you, in your heart, in your circumstances. SEEK HIM and see what you will find. |
I needed your message today as I have a lack in self confidence at the moment and I NEED to have faith and HAND OVER.!Thanks.Joan.
