In Matthew 10:46, blind Bartimaeus was begging on the side of the road amongst a large crowd. He cried out when he heard that Jesus of Nazareth was there, "Jesus Son of David, have mercy on me."

Blind Bartimaeus begins believing in himself and in Jesus when Jesus "SEES" Him and CALLS Him. He throws back his blanket, throws off his old life, old ways and old perception of himself, jumps to his feet and comes to Jesus.

Jesus sees all who call on him, even in a large crowd. Even when it appears we are of no consequence - He has come for ALL! In particular and especially those who are considered to be "beggars", unpopular or unworthy.

Jesus always hears our prayers. When we are sincere, we go directly to His Heart. When we ask for His Mercy, we will receive it. This is why He died for us - to take our place so that His Father in heaven would be merciful and forgiving towards us. God's Son Jesus has made us righteous in Our Fathers eyes.

Further in the story, Jesus asks Bartimaeus: "What do you want of me?"

What would we answer to this question if it were asked of us?

Deep down, what would you share with the Saviour - the One who can give you what you want?

Jesus says "now that you have captured my heart and my attention; what captures your heart?" and "What do you want from the God of All?"

Isn't that a powerful question! The blind Man answered honestly, not holding back, and so his request was granted.

What would you want the Ever-loving God to grant you?

Because He can grant anything!

Be honest in your response. Share it with Jesus and call upon His Mercy!

He is just waiting in a crowd for us to cry out and ask Him.

And maybe Jesus will have the same response as when he answered Bartimaeus, "Go your Faith has healed you."
