Speech - we all need it to communicate with people. If we aren't able to speak, we will try to communicate in other ways, but on the whole we use words. How important our words are?

Our Words, our conversations and our inflections of these words will speak more than we realize as a Christian witness to the world. If we speak poorly like the actors from the "soapies" on TV, we will have no influence that is worthwhile for people's lives. Can we forgo the opportunity of being Christ-like to the World?

All of us have the opportunity to speak with people every day. How we speak and what we say can bless or curse them, can create or destroy them. Our words can bless and Heal, encourage and give hope. (Job 4:4) Your words have upheld him who was stumbling and you have made firm the feeble knees.

"He who is Lord of Our Life, (how often have we heard or said this?) can certainly be Lord of Our Lips"(we forget this practical part of giving over every area of our Life to Christ.)

Try guarding your tongue and watching what words actually come out of your mouths. Remember that your words are powerful and can build up a person or break them down.

Lord help me count to TEN on days when my instant reaction is to bite back with unkind words and destructive words. Lord help me to use the 'right' words and have the "right" attitude of heart to build your Kingdom in this World. Amen
