An amazing story and one worth telling: what are we willing to give up joy for?? We can learn the same lesson firmly implanted in trust, faith, hope and joy. Once you know the choice theres no looking back and His peace is abundant. I am with you on that one. The thought crossed my mind that you and Rosemary have lots of children; who have probably benefited from a relationship with Thunder; and that they may be adults now?? Maybe they can see in their hearts to share the cost of their canine friends well being and survival? To divide the cost between you all equally, or put a hat out in the family. Then too, when my dog was run over by a car I was able to make payments to afford her recovery. Perhaps by the time the family have shared the cost as best they can-if they think thats a good idea, the remainder (if any) might make an easy payment plan.
So here's to enthuasism, joy!! Excitement, the anticipation of good things to come. And to Thunder who teaches so much.
All the best. Jessica

Hi Bruce,

To help you be ready for the next event for Thunder and Storm, you might consider pet insurance. That's not meant to detract in any way from the lesson in Trust God gave you this time around. :)

See you on your next trip to the Shire! ;)

I have to agree with Maureen The Catholic Guy does not need a building, devoted solely to its purpose! We are born for such a time as this...esther. Our strengths are found IN our weakness, not after, around or under them. I am thinking God is wanting to stretch our idea of how to do church, especially in these media savvy times. You, Bruce, have told the story of how you have received prophetic about being this age's answer to Billy Graham (my paraphrase). Could God be saying to the catholic guy, why not use the media at hand more fully? You already have online messages, so now push the boundaries of those new technologies and how they interact. Jesus is all about reaching people in unreachable places, so why not? Could the catholic guy designate a host church each week/month and just utilise that churches facilities in and around their usual services/meetings? Record each message and post online/ utilise in many formats.

I have read Bshp Joseph Porteous's book, "new wine and fresh skins" about the church and how it continually regenerates itself, a prophetic word for the church and how church is "done". It struck me, in reading it how overwhelming it was that the focus came from the ground up, the lay people!
Our one human example of how God's church was in the Divine third part of the Trinity, Jesus, who as the gospel of Johns says "..was there with God in the very beginning, and through Him all things were made". Now how did Jesus do church? Very simply, humbly. Interestingly, Christ's church had NO WALLS!! and the day He died on the cross for us, the curtain was torn from top to bottom INSIDE THE CHURCH! As a regular church goer, I am ever concious of those unbelievers that I come across and their attitude towards the church and christians, in general. Shouldnt we as the church be focussing as God Word tells us, on what we have in common in our worship styles, not on where we differ?? I am hot suggesting we COMPROMISE CHRIST! Just look at how we can collectively be the bride Jesus is coming for (notice Gods Word does not say " brideSS" PLURAL.) He will return for a unified church.

In your message re: the cows/december, you Bruce, discuss Israelites being dissappointed at the loss around the time of Jesus's birth. They didnt recognise Him, the Bible tells us, they were expecting to be delivered PHYSICALLY not SPIRITUALLY! Could we be missing the newly birthed miracle in our midst?? I love what the Catholic Guy has done to date, and wait with joyful hope to see its glorifying RESURRECTION! NEW LIFE IN THE SPIRIT! I'm excited for your future! and look forward to my part in it xxx much love to you in Christ,Kristin

To Bruce, Rosemary and the team at Impact Catholic

I believe your approach and attitude is right, this situation with the building is completely in the hands of God and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus . I am guessing you will be operate out of your home now?

It is as you say, one door closes, another opens, God is in complete control.

In my prayers

Just enjoy each day as it comes. God is currently processing all of us everyday and sometimes we do not even stop to realise it. How crazy life can be at times!!

Just enjoy HIM and wait for the complete work that Christ has for you.Read Phil 2: 12-16 and let the gift God continue to stir up your faith and your love for the Lord and you will see his promises and blessings in your life according to his time.

God gives and takes according to his plans. God is in charge of every living person. He made Moses strong and healthy (120 years old) and then takes his life away. Moses died willingly holding onto what he hoped for eventhough he could not see it .He believed with Faith and obeyed God's commandments. As we all see in so many godly people and saints who have so willingly lay their lives for the less fortunates in this world as is written in matthew 5 - the Beatitudes. (The inner attitudes and way of life of all believers)

Moses is a Legacy to many believers and perhaps even to non believers who do not take part in the church. He led his rebellious Israelites with faith, hope as though it was visible to him. No one draws close to God without first believing that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him whole heartedly. We are in many ways similar to the attitudes of the Israelites......Israel is the chosen nation by God to reveal his plan of salvation.

In Hebrews it states the heroes of faith all work with the same goal. Each one of them dies without seeing what God promised, in seeming failure, but their successors, in looking back, verify that people of faith built real history.

You do not need any building. You are in a process planned by God to do His will. In 2nd Corinthians 12:8 -9 - Three times I prayed to the Lord that it leave me, but he answered, 'my grace is enough for you, my great strength is revealed in weakness.

God Bless

Reading todays commentary I am reminded that God can turn all things to good. To praise God in all things and circumstances sometimes seem contrary. It's a great lesson in doing what we can and handing the rest to God in TRUST; in learning to wait on God, rather than fretting and fuming and chafing at the bit; in learning what God really wills for me or you and in ASKING first for the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit as essential to Christian living. In being reminded of the many things God offers us to live life fully in keeping with his will for each of us. Each time we manage to live this way we grow. And God is constantly encouraging us to fulfil his creation in us.

I came to know TCG team only in June 2010 and I must say that after attending your Mission in Woodvale, your team made me feel the presence of God working inside me. For many years I know that the Holy Spirit was speaking to me in my heart but it just sits inside me and was not stirred up. Reading the Scriptures daily and reading your monthly reflection helps me to find out what God wants me to do. Hosea 6:6 - For it is love that I desire, not sacrifice, it is the Knowledge of God, not burnt offerings.

In your August reflection, you wrote :Success is Knowing and Doing what God says in the Scriptures and to Know that
Success by God's standards is not success by the world's standards. God does have a plan for your team..... In his mind a man plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9 .The secret to success is TRUST IN THE LORD.

God Bless TCG team
