the Catholic Guy is a Catholic television program which is currently broadcast around Australia weekly on the Australian Christian Channel. 

the Catholic Guy features Bruce Downes presenting Catholic teaching for everyday living.  It also includes special guests such as Australian Catholic bishops and priests, Catholic academics as well as lay Catholic people.

the Catholic Guy program has the approval of the Archbishop of Perth, Archbishop Barry Hickey who has appointed a number of priests to be Senior Consultants to the program. Other specialists will be engaged depending on the topic being discussed.

Archbishop Barry Hickey (Archdiocese of Perth) said of  the Catholic Guy television program: "It is attractive, fresh in approach and strong in content.  I believe the message is conveyed in a convincing manner, and in a style which would attract young people especially."  Additionally, Archbishop Hickey said: "I think we can be proud of this Catholic contribution."
